Contributions from academia and industry, that are relevant to the topics of the conference, are welcomed. Participants in this track will present a short talk (5 minutes, including 1 minute for questions), and publish a two-page abstract in the Supplement of the Fourth European Dependable Computing Conference.

Preparation and Submission: A Fast Abstract must be submitted in its final form, ready to be printed. Fast Abstracts are limited to 2 pages, and the authors are required to follow the LNCS instructions (http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html).

Submissions must be made electronically, in either PDF or postscript format, using the submission page http://fa-edcc4.cnuce.cnr.it/. Please, name your file something very likely to be unique and recognizable (e.g., a concatenation of first author’s name and a keyword from the title).

Acceptance and Notification: Fast Abstracts will not be refereed. Instead, they will be lightly screened by the Fast Abstracts Chair and by the Conference Program Chair. The criteria for acceptance will be: i) relevance and interest to the community, and ii) arrival time, so you are encouraged to send in your submission well in advance of the final deadline. We will accept as many Fast Abstracts as possible, limited by the available presentation time at the conference.

Deadlines:

Submission deadline is August 30, 2002 (earlier if all slots are filled)
Notification deadline is September 6, 2002.

Fast Abstracts Chair: Felicita Di Giandomenico, IEI-CNR, Pisa, Italy

Important Note: By submitting a Fast Abstract, you are committing yourself, or one of your colleagues, to present at the conference.
