The Sheraton Hotel Tahiti offers spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean and Papeete Harbor. It is situated in the most convenient location on the island. Just minutes from Faa'a International Airport, the resort is within walking distance of Papeete, Tahiti's historic capital. The location will also allow you to enjoy breathtaking sunsets or the dramatic view of the Island of Moorea. The hotel features modern meeting, conference and banquet facilities (it hosted the France-Oceania Summit last July) and 200 spacious guestrooms with air-conditioning, outdoor balconies, refrigerators, in-room safes, and coffee service. The hotel facilities also include an over-water restaurant, two cocktail bars, two lounges, spectacular swimming pool and jacuzzi, a fitness center and a choice of boutiques. RateA block of rooms has been reserved for PRDC-2004 attendees at the special rate of 135 Euros (16 000 CFP) per day, for single or double occupancy. This rate also includes one continental breakfast for one person only. This rate is exclusive of city tax (1.3 Euros per person per night -- 150 CFP) and of applicable state and local taxes (these taxes amount to 11% in 2003, but are subject to change in 2004). This rate applies also for several days prior and after the symposium dates for participants who intend to extend their stay. So far, the negotiated dates are as follows: arrival, from March 1: departure, until March 8. If needed, further extensions could be negotiated upon demand to accommodate specific requests. Accompanying PersonsAccompanying guests can join us to take breakfasts, lunches, and Gala Dinner (on March 3 evening). The corresponding expenses will be charged by the hotel to the registered participant, together with due room costs. The following rates will apply: -
Continental Breakfast: 16 Euros (1 840 CFP) These rates are exclusive of VAT (6%). Children: From 0 to 2 years, meals are complimentary. From 3 to 12 years, a 50% discount will apply on meals. This only applies to meals taken as a form of buffet and not "à la carte". Booking and PaymentFor ensuring the reservation of a hotel room, each registered participant is requested to fill in the Hotel Reservation Form (.doc | .pdf) and return it preferably by e-mail (prdc10-book@laas.fr) or by fax (+33 5 61 33 64 11). Full name, affiliation and complete address information of the registered participant should be provided. Credit card information is mandatory for confirming the reservation. The hotel reservation will only be confirmed after registration payment has been received. Arrival and departure dates, flights information, number of rooms required should be explicitly specified. When planning your reservation (e.g., number of nights), please make sure to consider that check-in time is 13h and check-out time is 12h. There is no possibility for "early check-in" or "late check-out". When applicable, full name of accompanying person(s) should be provided. For children, age(s) should also be indicated. When needed, special dietary information can be specified on this form. Registered participants will be responsible for the payment of their own room, tax and incidental charges upon checkout. They will also take care of expenses related to their accompanying guests. CancellationsCancellations are allowed. However, unless the cancellation is notified to us in writing (fax is acceptable) on or before January 31, 2004, a three-night package will be charged by the hotel.
