Option A: Tetiaroa Tour -- Fare: 217 Euros (25 800 CFP)

Tetiaroa is the unique atoll island of the Windward Islands. Alike the other twelve motu isles that compose Tetiaroa, Onetahi offers a very nice beach as well as a privileged and protected environment. This is the place where you will be arriving, as the isle possesses a small airstrip. It also has a little resort in the middle of coconut trees and aito trees (iron trees). Onetahi was previously the Royal Residence of the Pomare dynasty, before being purchased, in 1966, by the famous American actor, Marlon Brando, who was overwhelmed by the beauty of the island during the shooting of the movie, Mutiny on the Bounty, released in 1962. Brando's ex-wife, Tarita, is still operating the resort.

Most of the motus gather colonies of birds. The most interesting one is called Tahuna Iti (Bird Island). Many species of rare and colorful birds have selected this island to reproduce themselves.

The submarine fauna and the magnificent purple corals of its lagoons are worth taking the time for discovery them.

The tour features the transfers to/from Papeete (Faa'a) airport, the plane ticket Papeete-Tetiaroa-Papeete, an excursion to the Lagoon in piragua and to Bird Island, and the lunch at the restaurant of the resort (beverages are not included).

The flight to Onetahi island is 30-minute long. The number of seats available in the Twin-Otter plane that connect the island daily is limited to 18 passengers. Accordingly, besides several trips are usually scheduled each day, this tour option is a priori limited to a maximum of 54 persons (3x18), with the pre-planned schedule as shown in the table below.
